Winter is long and the weather is cold and there’s not much we can do about that – but we can make the best of it by warming up our living spaces. From warm, deep colors and fresh, new furniture to your favorite candles and décor, you’ll be ready to hibernate the winter away. Below are this year’s latest trends on how to warm up your space!
1. Soft Textiles
Nothing beats laying down on the couch and cozying up to a warm, fuzzy blanket. Having a blanket an arms-length away at all times is a must, so keep one on the back of the sofa, folded at the foot of the bed, or even tossed in a basket. Materials like flannel, cotton, wool and cashmere are all great choices to go with! Blankets are also a great way to add a pop of color or design to the space and many seasonal blankets bring a bit of holiday cheer to the space. Pictured above is the England Furniture Jaden Sofa which is designed with a wintery pattern on the sofa cushions.
2. Cozy Colors
Cozy colors are deep blues and reds, shades of gray and even warm wood tones. A great way to incorporate the brighter colors like red or blue is to do it through curtains, pillows, and an accent chair like the England Furniture Wilder Chair and throw rugs. When it comes to warm wood tones, there are tons of tables out there that are the perfect shade to help warm your space.
3. New Furnishings & Additions
Now, if you really want to go big, adding new pieces of furniture or a fireplace can do wonders to warm your bones this winter. Sitting by the fireplace is the traditional way of quite literally “warming up” your space, but it also adds a great aesthetic to the room. New pieces of furniture like the England Furniture Leah Sofa pictured above, is a deep seat, leather sofa that adds warmth to the room with the dark leather.
